Context
Overview
ICD Brookfield Place was a hugely ambitious project led by internationally renowned developer Brookfield Properties, with the backing of the Investment Corporation of Dubai.
BSBG joined forces with Brookfield Properties during the feasibility stages to carry out numerous studies of the site and potential solutions, before working alongside concept architect Foster + Partners and numerous external stakeholders and consultants throughout the design stages to guide this building through to completion.
Challenges involved in the delivery of ICD Brookfield Place included the pre-existing structures from a previous project started on the site, the management of safety despite having more than 3,000 people on the site each day, coordination of more than 40 consultants and sub-consultants, and at the end of the process managing to achieve the much-heralded LEED Platinum Rating as the project reached completion.
This is a project which sets the bar for commercial Grade A office building design and delivery, and involved close collaboration between many of the world’s best in terms of design, engineering, sustainability and technical delivery. The result is ICD Brookfield Place, a 53-storey, 282-metre beacon of light emanating proudly from the heart of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Our work
A long term project
We had been filming ICD Brookfield Place throughout its construction for more than three years to ensure that we had footage of the project as it progressed to assist with telling the story of the building. When it completed, we took the time to understand from the client they key messaging before developing a narrative and approaching key stakeholders involved with the project. The video was shared across social media, and to date has been watched more than 40,000 times.
